Instructor
Michael Smith joined the
Department of Management
in 2003, after serving
as Sales Representative
for IBM Corporation, Los
Angeles, CA where he has
often received recognition
for his team’s accomplishments
and for his outstanding
leadership. Smith
also served in the Peace
Corps as a Volunteer where
he was assigned to Casablanca,
Morocco as Moroco’s
Swimming Coach.
Smith has received a number
of awards including:
“Talented Tenth”
– Hard Work and
Dedication, “Bison
Yearbook” –
Outstanding Professors,
and “Women to Woman”-
Excellence in Leadership.
He has taught:
Business Orientation,
Career Counseling, and
Personal Selling.
Smith holds a BS in Education
from Howard University,
Washington, DC.
