Insurance Program
The insurance curriculum consists of approximately 50% arts and sciences courses, 35% core business administration courses and 15% insurance courses. The specialized courses in insurance are designed to give students the theoretical knowledge they need for careers in insurance and the practical skills necessary to gain employment in the insurance industry. The courses cover the nature of risk, life and health insurance, property and casualty insurance, risk management, and employee benefits. Insurance majors select finance and real estate courses as electives and complete two independent study projects.
International Business Program
The world has increasingly become a global marketplace where companies and individuals must be prepared to meet competition from countries around the world. The School of Business is a pioneer in the field of international business education at the undergraduate level. Such an education provides the tools necessary for a student to become a future leader in the dynamic global marketplace.
