MAURICE COX
Maurice Cox became vice president, Corporate Development and
Diversity, at Pepsi-Cola Company, the world’s second largest
soft drink company, in 1991. He is responsible for providing
leadership and strategic guidance on a range of workplace and
marketplace diversity issues that impact the company’s
employees and its market performance. Before joining Pepsi-Cola,
he was assistant director of communications and speechwriter
for Associated Builders & Contractors, Inc. Cox
began his career as a journalist for the Greensboro (NC)
Daily News & Record. He is also a former editor
of Builder & Contractor magazine. Cox has been listed
in EBONY magazine as among the most influential African-American
corporate executives in the United States. He earned his
Bachelor’s of Science degree in economics from the University
of North Carolina at Greensboro.
