Dr. Margaret Hicks joined the Department of Accounting in 1987.  Her primary research areas of interest include:  Auditing, Financial Accounting, and The Accounting Profession. Hicks was selected as one of the Top 50 CPAs in the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area in 2005, and Arthur Andersen Professor, 1999-2002.  She has taught Accounting Principles I, Accounting Principles II, and Auditing.  Dr. Hicks holds a Ph.D. from University of Maryland, College Park, MD and an MBA and BS from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, IL.
