Dr. Steven Fritsche joined the Department of Accounting in
the Howard University School of Business in 2004, after serving
as Assistant Professor at three universities: the University
of Baltimore, Catholic University of America and Syracuse
University. His primary research area of interest is financial
accounting, in particular rates of return and other measures
of performance derived from published accounting data. Fritsche
has taught: Introduction to Financial Accounting (undergraduate
and graduate), Introduction to Managerial Accounting (undergraduate
and graduate), Intermediate Financial Accounting, Accounting
Theory, Advanced Accounting and Cost Accounting. He holds
a Ph.D. in Accounting from the University of Alabama and
received his B.S. in Accounting from Mankato State University.
