Dr. Amdetsion Kidane joined the Department
of Information Systems & Decision
Sciences in 1978, after serving as Assistant Professor at the
School of Business Haile Selassie I University, Addis Ababa,
Ethiopia, and at the Alabama State University, Montgomery,
Alabama. His primary areas of interest include: Minority-owned
businesses: their Role in the Economy and Factors that
Impact their Performance. Kidane was awarded African-American
Institute Scholar, and US-AID Scholar. He has taught: Statistics,
Quantitative Business Analysis, Production and Operations Management,
Data Analysis, Simulation, System Analysis and Design, and
Programming. Kidane holds a DBA in Management Science
from the University of Colorado, Boulder, an MSBA in Business
Statistics from the University of Denver, and a BS in Mathematics
from Haile Selassie I University, Addis Ababa, Ethipia.
