Dr. Narendra Rustagi, Professor and Chair
of the Department of Information Systems & Decision
Sciences, joined the department in 1987, after serving
as Research Fellow at International Rice Research Institute
in the Philippines, Consultant and Research Analyst at
International Food Policy Research Institute, Washington,
DC, and Consultant at Consultative Group on International
Agricultural Research, World Bank, Washington, DC respectively. His
primary research areas of interest include: Pluralism
and Competitiveness, Strategies for Enhancing Higher Education
Programs, and Supply Chain Management and Competitiveness. Rustagi
served as a member of several organizations including: the
Advisory Board of the Center for Internet Technology in
Education, the Executive Committee of International Academy
of Business and Economics, and Guest Editor of Special
Issue on South Asia of the International Journal of Commerce
and Management. He is the co-founder of International
Business Academy where he held the position of President
in 2005. Rustagi currently serves as Book Editor
for Advances in Competitiveness Research, as Business Program
Coordinator for the American Society for Competitiveness,
and more recently has been elected as the incoming President
of IABD. He has taught: Introduction to Supply
Chain Management, Advanced Supply Chain Management, Statistics,
and POM. Rustagi holds a Ph.D. and Masters of Applied
Statistics from Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio,
and a MA and BSc. (Hons.) in Mathematics from the University
of Delhi, India.
