Admission to HUMBA
The Howard University School of Business MBA program is open to all persons holding a baccalaureate degree or its equivalent, from a nationally or regionally accredited college or university, located in the United States or abroad.
Application materials and all supporting documents become the confidential property of the MBA Admissions Office and cannot be returned to the applicant. Applications are not reviewed until all materials are received in the MBA Admissions Office. The application must be typed and all attachments should be typed on letter-sized paper. Please follow the instructions on length and format of each attachment.
Students seeking a dual degree must meet both the admission requirements of the MBA Program and the other respective school.
The JD/MBA is a four-year, full-time program offered jointly by the School of Law and the School of Business. To receive the JD/MBA degree, a student must complete a total of 105 semester hours, including all of the separate course requirements for both the JD and MBA programs. Of the 105 semester hours, the candidate must complete 66 in the School of Law and must complete 39 in the School of Business. When the candidate has successfully completed the program, the respective schools confer the JD and MBA degrees simultaneously. Additionally, a Joint Program Certificate will be awarded upon completion of the program. Applicants must apply and meet the independent
admission criteria for each school.
Persons admitted to this program begin their MBA education after their second year of medical school. To be admitted, applicants must independently meet the admission requirements of the College of Medicine and the School of Business.

International students must enter in the Fall as full time students in the regular MBA program or one of the joint degree programs. International graduate students are required to show sponsorship as determined and published by the university. Students should contact the International Student Services office for further information.
